A capacity of 360 watt hours means you can travel over 80 km.² And with the optional Range Extender, you can go even further – for range that doesn’t restrict your life, but rather expands it.

Hub Line and PowerTube 360 together weigh just under 5 kg. This allows for a dynamic ride and effortless handling in your everyday life, including while travelling by train or navigating stairs.

As soon as you switch off your eBike, the motor and battery are automatically locked. In addition, alarm signals will also deter would-be thieves if your eBike is moved. You can track the location of your eBike via the app – thanks to Flow+ and the ConnectModule.³

The Hub Line is integrated into the smart system and offers theft protection, navigation and personalisation via the eBike Flow app.⁴ You also get new features with updates over-the-air – keeping your eBike right up-to-date.

What is the Bosch Hub Line?

The Hub Line is a lightweight hub motor from Bosch that was specially developed for stylish eBikes in urban areas. With 45 Nm of torque, up to 400 W of power and a motor weighing approx. 2.3 kg, it offers dynamic but controlled support - compactly integrated into the hub of the rear wheel. It is seamlessly integrated into the Bosch smart system to enable a connected and enhanced riding experience.

How does the Hub Line impact on the design of the eBike?

With a diameter of approx. 100 mm, the Hub Line disappears almost completely into the hub of the rear wheel - for a purist and clean look that makes your eBike look like a conventional bike. The aluminium housing is painted black, underlining the minimalist design. Together with the PowerTube 360 - Bosch's slimmest battery to date - this ensures a discrete and elegant silhouette.

What does riding with the Hub Line feel like?

With 45 Nm of torque applied directly to the rear wheel, the Hub Line delivers a direct boost when starting off - for a lively riding experience. Above 25 km/h, the motor is completely decoupled from the rear wheel so that you can continue riding with almost no resistance. Intelligent sensors constantly analyse your ride and adjust the delivery of support, requiring no intervention in Auto mode.

What is the range of an eBike with Hub Line?

When fitted with the PowerTube 360 - a battery with 360 watt hours - an eBike with Hub Line can achieve a range of over 80 kilometres.⁵ The range can also be extended with an additional battery (PowerMore 250). This gives you the freedom to conquer the city without having to constantly think about recharging.

How does the Hub Line protect my eBike from theft as part of the smart system?

The Hub Line uses the smart system's digital functions to protect your eBike. You benefit from multi-level, digital theft protection as soon as you switch off your eBike: eBike Lock – a free additional protection against theft - disables motor support. The optional ConnectModule and a Flow+ subscription ³ lets you extend this protection with additional alarm functions including GPS tracking.

The gearbox in our drive unit is maintenance-free. We use a special grease lubrication that is designed for the drive unit’s entire life cycle. You will not need to refill or change it.
