How does the charging and discharging of DualBattery work in the smart system?

Do you use DualBattery, the combination of two batteries, and want to know how full each battery is and how much total capacity you have left? In general, the system switches intelligently between the batteries, charging and discharging them evenly and carefully. This increases the service life.

  • During the ride/use: The fuller battery is discharged first until both batteries have the same charge level. Both batteries are then discharged in parallel and evenly.

  • During charging: The battery with the lower charge level is charged first until both batteries have the same charge level. Both batteries are then charged in parallel and evenly.

How do I know how full (each of) the batteries are?

  • If both batteries are active, the percentage display in your display or in the eBike Flow app shows you how much battery power you have available in total.
  • The symbol showing two batteries shows you the charge level of each battery.

DualBattery in combination with Range Extender

DualBattery allows you to use a maximum of two batteries at the same time. This also includes the combination of a main battery (e.g., a PowerTube) and the PowerMore 250 Range Extender. Please note, however, that you have to charge the PowerMore 250 separately from your eBike, as your eBike only has one charging port and it cannot be used for more than one battery.
