How does charging and discharging of the DualBattery work in the smart system?

You use DualBattery, i.e. the combination of two batteries and want to know the state of charge of each battery and how much total capacity you have left? As a rule, the system switches intelligently between the batteries so that they are charged and discharged evenly and carefully. This increases the service life.

  • During the ride/use: The battery with the higher charge is discharged first until both batteries have the same charge level. Afterwards, both batteries are discharged simultaneously and evenly.

  • During charging: The battery with the lower charge level is charged first until both batteries have the same charge level. Afterwards, both batteries are charged simultaneously and evenly.

How do I know the state of charge of (each of) the batteries?

  • If both batteries are active, the percentage display in your display or in the eBike Flow app shows you how much battery power you have available in total.
  • The symbol showing two batteries shows you the charge level of each battery.

DualBattery in conjunction with Range Extender

DualBattery allows you to use a maximum of two batteries at the same time. This also includes the combination of a main battery (e.g. a PowerTube) and the PowerMore 250 Range Extender. However, please note that you must charge the PowerMore 250 separately from your eBike, as your eBike only has one charging interface and this cannot be used for more than one battery.
