Every ride is different. Every route is unique. That's why this update for the eBike Flow app helps you make your eBike experience even more individual: Now you can not only increase the performance values of the Performance Line SX (BDU314Y), but also customize the screens of your Kiox 400C to suit your preferences. Do you use imported routes in the eBike Flow app? You can now follow them exactly – without automatic rerouting. If you have eShift on your eBike with the smart system, you get immediate access to many new features. And if something is wrong with your eBike, an error message is now shown as a QR code on your display. Scan it to access our Help Center and find the right solution even faster.

More power when it counts.

The Performance Line SX (BDU314Y) is increasing in strength. You can select up to 400% support and 60 Nm torque in the custom riding modes of the eBike Flow app¹ when you want it – or permanently. The higher torque gives you better acceleration. The increased support quadruples your rider power.

Make your display unique

The Kiox 400C always shows you exactly the information you need – so your focus stays on the trail. You can now configure your display to suit your preferences using the eBike Flow app – just like with Kiox 300 and Kiox 500. With over 30 customization options, you decide for yourself what you see on your display while riding.

For the Kiox 300, Kiox 500, and Kiox 400C, you can now define even more precisely how the tiles are arranged on your display. With nine new configuration options, you can customize your display even more – and arrange the information exactly how you want to see it while riding. This means you can see all important information at a glance.

In the eBike Flow app settings, you can use the “Display configuration” function to add content, change or delete screens, and determine their order and layout in the usual way.

Follow your original route

Import your route, for example from komoot, and follow it exactly – without automatic rerouting. With the new “Follow original route” button, you can ensure that you stay on your originally planned route – even if it takes you along unknown paths. This means you can follow exactly the same route as your friends, for example. You only see the route line on your display and navigate without voice navigation and turn-by-turn directions.

The “Follow original route” button is displayed in the settings of your imported route. When you activate it, you will receive a warning that the route may contain sections that are difficult to navigate.

Shift gears even more comfortably and conveniently with eShift

Our eShift portfolio continues to grow and many new features are now available for eBikes with the smart system. Our new solutions give you more options for comfortable gear shifting – and more flexibility when choosing your eBike.

M+ for eShift: M+ adds another automatic function to eShift if you shift gears manually. M+ automatically shifts gears for you while coasting. While pedaling, you shift gears yourself as usual.
Extended and improved automatic function: eShift now responds more directly to inclines and changes gears faster and more smoothly according to the riding dynamics.
Automatic gear shifting with Shimano: eShift is now also possible with Shimano hub gear or derailleur systems. eShift also supports the XTR Di2 performance derailleur systems from Shimano as well as the Shimano DEORE XT Di2, and extends the range of functions of the Shimano NEXUS Di2 hub gear system.
Automatic gear shifting with Rohloff: With the Rohloff E-14 gear shifting system, you can now decide whether to have eShift shift gears for you or shift gears yourself.

In the eBike Flow app settings, you can add the respective eShift solution via Component > “eShift”.

Find the right solution even faster

An error code is now shown as a QR code on your display. Simply scan the QR code – and the appropriate page will open in the Help Center with a description and possible solution steps.

Save your preferred dealer

You can save your preferred Bosch eBike dealer on the home screen of the eBike Flow app so that you have all the important contact details quickly to hand. Your trusted dealer can now also save this information in their Bosch diagnostic software. But ultimately it's up to you to decide who your preferred dealer is.

Adjust the traction control to your riding style now – for more control on technical sections. You can switch the Drivetrain Tensioner on and off for each riding mode, and with Trick Check, recorded tricks remain visible for longer. The remaining charging time for your battery appears on your display while you are charging.

With this update, you can fine-tune your setup for noticeably more precise control on the trail. You manage Extended Boost in the eBike Flow app, while Drivetrain Tensioner transforms your power into propulsion. The eBike Assistant answers your questions, and eShift lets you skip multiple gears at once.

The trail becomes a challenge, the route an adventure. The new Trick Check function automatically recognises your tricks, shows them on your display and saves them in the eBike Flow app. You can now also see your heart rate data and save your favourite places as favourites. We are also expanding the eShift portfolio.

Maximum values: Deviations possible, depending on hub gear system and battery. Higher performance values also mean higher wear and lower range – we leave this individual decision up to you. The eBike manufacturer can limit the maximum performance values in the factory setting. 250 W The “Y” in the product code is a placeholder and may contain a different number depending on the model, e.g., BDU3140.

After you have downloaded the new version of the eBike Flow app, update your eBike with the smart system using the eBike Flow app. This way you can take advantage of all the features and improvements we have listed here. When doing this, please make sure that all components are attached to your eBike before you update it.
