Recycled material
During the development process, we take care to use materials as responsibly as possible. For example, we use around 40% recycled aluminium in the system housing, which saves almost half of the CO₂ emissions.² We also use recycled plastic for some of the components in the drive unit.³

In addition, the new generation can adapt even more precisely to your riding pattern with its improved response behaviour.
The Active Line Plus (BDU344Y) is maintenance-free. The gearbox has a special grease lubrication system that is designed to last for the entire service life of the drive unit, so there is no need to replenish or change the lubricant. The optimised sealing and bearing concepts mean that the Active Line Plus is a reliable companion in all weathers.

The gearbox in our drive unit is maintenance-free. We use a special grease lubrication that is designed for the drive unit’s entire life cycle. You will not need to refill or change it.
BackSavings compared to the use of conventional aluminium. These savings are partially attributable to the use of green electricity in the production of recycled aluminium. The calculation is based on supplier data. We have considered the effects of CO₂ as well as other greenhouse gases and climate-relevant substances, insofar as these are relevant to the analysis. For ease of reading, we use CO₂ synonymously with CO₂ equivalents.
BackThe grease guide plate, torque sensor housing and wire feeder are among the largest plastic parts in the drive unit. The grease guide plate and torque sensor housing are manufactured using more than 50% recycled material, while the wire feeder has a recycled content of approx. 35% (source: supplier data).
