Hub Line and PowerTube 360 together weigh just under 11 lbs. This means a dynamic ride and effortless handling in your everyday life, for example when taking the train or navigating stairs.

As soon as you switch off your eBike, the motor and battery are automatically locked. In addition, alarm signals are a deterrent if your eBike is moved. You can track the location of your eBike via the app – thanks to Flow+ with ConnectModule.³

The Hub Line is integrated into the smart system and offers theft protection, navigation and personalization via the eBike Flow app.⁴ You also receive new functions via updates over-the-air, keeping your eBike up to the mark.

What is the Bosch Hub Line?

The Hub Line is a lightweight hub motor from Bosch that has been specially developed for stylish eBikes in urban areas. With 45 Nm torque, up to 400 W power and a motor weight of approx. 5 lbs, it offers dynamic but controlled support – compactly integrated into the hub of the rear wheel. It is seamlessly integrated into the Bosch smart system to give you a connected and enhanced riding experience.

How does the Hub Line influence the design of the eBike?

With a diameter of approx. 4 in, the Hub Line fits almost invisibly into the hub of the rear wheel – for a purist, clean look that makes your eBike look almost like a conventional bike. The aluminum housing is black, underlining the minimalist design. Together with the PowerTube 360 – Bosch’s slimmest battery to date – this delivers an inconspicuous and elegant silhouette.

How does riding with the Hub Line feel?

With 45 Nm of torque applied directly to the rear wheel, the Hub Line provides a direct boost when starting off – for a lively riding experience. Above 15 mph, the motor is completely decoupled from the rear wheel so that you can continue riding with almost no resistance. Intelligent sensors constantly analyze your ride, adjusting the support without any intervention in Auto mode.

What is the range of an eBike with Hub Line?

With the PowerTube 360 – a battery with 360 watt hours – an eBike with Hub Line achieves a range of over 50 miles.⁵ The range can also be increased with an additional battery (PowerMore 250). This gives you the freedom to conquer the city without having to constantly think about the next recharge.

How does the Hub Line protect my eBike from theft as part of the smart system?

The Hub Line protects your eBike via digital functions of the smart system. As soon as you switch off your eBike, you benefit from multi-level, digital theft protection: eBike Lock – a free additional protection against theft – locks the motor support. With the optional ConnectModule and a Flow+ subscription ³ , you can extend this protection with additional alarm functions including GPS tracking.

The gear in our drive units is maintenance-free. We use a special grease lubrication that is designed for the drive unit’s entire life cycle. You do not need to refill or change it.
