Navigation options while riding

You have several options for navigation during your trip.

Pocket screen

If you have previously planned or imported a route in the eBike Flow app and then start navigation, you will automatically be taken to the map view of the pocket screen (portrait format).

Ride screen

Tap Open ride screen to navigate in the ride screen in landscape format. Use this setting in conjunction with your SmartphoneGrip. To open the ride screen, you must be connected to your eBike.

Switching between map view and dashboard view

With the LED Remote or the Mini Remote, you can safely control the ride screen functions without taking your hands off the handlebars.
Press the < und > buttons on the LED Remote or the selection button on the Mini Remote.

Changing destination via the quick menu in the ride screen

You can use the quick menu in the ride screen to change your navigation destination without having to stop and take your phone out of the mount.

Change destination:

1. Open the Quick Menu: simply press and hold the selection button of the LED Remote or Mini Remote for longer than one second to do so.
2. Change the destination by starting navigation to one of the ten latest destinations you searched for. Use the +/- buttons on your control unit to get to the desired destination and confirm your choice by pressing the selection button.

Stop navigation:

1. Open the Quick Menu: simply press and hold the selection button of the LED Remote or Mini Remote for longer than one second to do so.
2. Stop the active navigation using the Finish navigation entry. Use the arrow keys on your control unit to scroll between the options and confirm your choice by pressing the selection button.

Note: For your safety, keep your hands on the handlebars when using the quick menu.

Navigation with the Kiox 300/Kiox 500

If your smart system has a Kiox 300/Kiox 500, you can also navigate via the display. You can find more information about this here

Acoustic turn-by-turn instructions

When navigation is active, you can activate voice output or notification tones for turn-by-turn directions.

If you use a Kiox 500 display, you will receive notification tones via the built-in buzzer before a turn. To do so, the notification tones must be activated in the eBike Flow app.

Via Settings > My Kiox > Volume you can adjust the volume to High, Medium, Low or switch off the buzzer completely with Off.

If you use a Kiox 300 display, you can activate voice output or notification tones for turn-by-turn directions using the eBike Flow app.

Tap on the corresponding icon to select the desired audio option:

•  mute
•  notification tones
•  voice output

The audio is output from the smartphone via the active output, e.g. the built-in speaker or another connected audio output device (e.g. headphones).

• The direction is announced 150 m before the turn.
• A notification tone sounds 70 m before the turn.

Route recalculation

If you deviate from your planned route, we will automatically calculate the best way back to your original planned trip. The navigation guides you back to your route in the usual way.
Depending on your internet connection, it may take a moment for the new route to appear on the display.
If no new route can be calculated (e.g. because there is no internet connection), a dashed line shows you the direction back to the route.
