Your Nyon displays the error message “531” and there is no longer any motor assistance?

This message appears when the software version of the Drive Unit of your eBike is too old (Drive Unit version under 1.5.0.0) and not compatible with the software version of your Nyon. In this case the values set in your profile for the custom riding modes cannot access the obsolete software of the Drive Unit and execute them. The eBike then blocks them.

Please have your Bosch eBike system updated to the latest version by your dealer so that it is compatible with the latest versions of Nyon and the portal. Then you can operate your eBike and Nyon as usual.

Here’s how you find the version number of your Nyon Drive Unit

On your Nyon, go to “Settings > Help > System Info” The very first entry “BDU SW Version” tells you the version number of your Drive Unit.
