The ConnectModule is the hardware component required to be able to use the eBike Alarm service and thus increase theft protection. It has motion sensors, a radio and GPS module and its own battery. This is how eBike Alarm works even without the eBike battery.
With the help of the sensors, the ConnectModule mounted under the motor cover can identify movements of the eBike and trigger a local alarm. With the help of the GPS module, the current position of the eBike is determined in a second stage, transmitted via mobile communications ( LTE & NB-IoT ) and displayed in the eBike Flow app.
