My activities are not recorded or are only recorded incompletely. What can I do?

Incorrect smartphone or eBike Flow app settings can result in your activities being only partially recorded.

To ensure complete activity tracking:

  • Make sure that the Flow app is open in the background, i.e. visible in the app switcher during your activities and that you have a stable Internet connection.
  • The location tracking permission in your smartphone settings should be set to Always allow on Android devices and to Always on iOS devices.
  • The power saving mode/energy saving mode should be switched off.
  • On Android devices, please also check that the Flow app is excluded from your phone's energy-saving function/battery optimisation.

An example of how to find the energy saving function/battery optimisation is:
On your phone, go to  Settings > search: Energy saving function or Battery optimisation. Select All apps, search Flow. Select Do not optimise or Do not allow and confirm your selection.

If you are unable to find the power saving function/battery optimisation, please refer to your phone's instruction manual.

Note: If you are still having difficulties, please check the exceptions list again. The eBike Flow app can sometimes disappear from the list following updates.
