Higher speed, more weight and a different handling experience - find out more on the small but important differences to riding conventional bicycles.

Risk:
Error codes on the eBike
Lack of regular maintenance increases the safety risk.
Solution:
Your certified Bosch eBike dealer can diagnose the error, correct it, and update the system.
Risk:
Inadequate protection
eBiker who don't wear a helmet increase the risk of a head injury. Up to 70% of head injuries caused during accidents can be prevented by helmets. Only 60% of eBikers (up to 16 mph) wear protective headgear while biking.
Solution:
A helmet protects against injury. In-mold helmets offer good protection. During manufacturing, the shock-absorbing hard foam is injected directly into the outer shell.
Solution:
The 3-sensor concept of Bosch drives measures torque, speed and acceleration more than 1,000 times per second and determines precisely what support the rider needs in the particular situation. You experience gentle start-up and optimal acceleration. With the automatic eShift solutions for hub gear systems, you always start safely in the best starting gear. eShift always enhances riding comfort.
Risk:
Sufficient energy
Some people interested in eBikes are skeptical that the energy provided by the eBike battery is actually sufficient for their purposes
Solution:
Bosch batteries are among the most efficient on the market. Ranges of more than 62 miles are possible with a single battery charge. DualBattery, combining two Bosch batteries, offers energy content of up to 1,250 Wh for long distances or steep climbs. Our Range Assistant is worth visiting to calculate a typical range under various conditions.
Risk:
Theft
According to a recent study about 2 million bikes are stolen in North America each year. When out and about with an eBike, riders need to know that they can park it safely and securely. A mechanical lock is the basis for protecting eBikes against theft.
Solution:
The new 'Lock' premium function is the ideal complement to a mechanical lock. 'Lock' has made the Kiox and Nyon on-board computers (since model year 2021) the key to greater security. Disconnecting the on-board computer deactivates motor support and 'Lock' is only released again automatically when the same on-board computer is reconnected.
