All the available riding modes can be flexibly combined on eBikes with the smart system. Exceptions are the Cargo mode and the Race mode, as well as the Sprint mode. These are only available for eBikes with the Cargo Line drive unit or Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition or Performance Line SX and Performance Line Sprint (US/NZ). Specialist dealers can activate up to four modes (in addition to Off mode) and thus adapt the eBike perfectly to individual eBikers (unless modifications have been excluded by the bicycle manufacturer). Using the individual riding modes function in the eBike Flow app, the riding modes can be configured according to individual needs. The support, dynamics, maximum torque and maximum speed can be set within the specified limits. It's not possible to customise your riding mode on S-pedelecs.

Individual riding modes

Decide for yourself with which support and dynamics as well as with which maximum torque and up to which maximum speed the eBike will take you forward. You can adapt all riding modes to your needs in the eBike Flow app. So you not only get the best possible support for your training, tour or commute to work, but also one that is precisely tailored to you.

It's not possible to customise your riding mode on S-pedelecs.

FAQs & more

The Bosch eBike ABS is attached to the left side of the fork of your eBike.

The Custom riding modes premium function allows Nyon owners to set four additional riding modes for themselves.

To use it, you need to purchase the feature once through the shop in the eBike Connect app.

The corresponding settings are then available to you in the eBike Connect app as well as in the online portal under My eBike > Custom riding modes.

Each of the four riding modes can be individually set up with five speed-dependent reference points. The motor support can be set as a percentage value for each of the reference points. Following the appropriate setup, it is possible to switch between the standard and individual riding modes in the Quick menu.

While riding, the rider can switch between the individual riding modes in the usual way using the plus and minus buttons on the control unit.

For S-pedelecs, adjusting riding modes is disabled for legal reasons.

You have four pre-installed riding modes on your eBike. You can adapt these according to your needs in the eBike Flow app. Learn more in this  video.

If you can't adjust the pre-installed riding modes, check if there is an active connection between the Flow app and your eBike.

If you want to change the riding modes available on your eBike, e.g. replace Sport with eMTB, contact your bicycle retailer. Please note that limitations apply to this. For example, cargo bikes cannot have an eMTB mode.

For S-pedelecs, adjusting riding modes is disabled for legal reasons.
