Power supply of the ConnectModule

The ConnectModule has an internal battery to provide the services independently of the eBike battery. The state of charge of the internal battery can be viewed via the eBike Flow app. The internal battery of the ConnectModule is always charged while riding and while charging the eBike.

If the eBike is parked for a longer period of time, the ConnectModule automatically starts a charging process (service charge) from the eBike battery if required, provided the battery is inserted in the eBike. The ConnectModule therefore always maintains enough charge to function in the case of theft. This service charge process takes place every 4 to 14 days and can take up to one hour. The duration depends on various circumstances, e.g. the reception conditions of the ConnectModule. The ConnectModule cannot be charged if the temperature is below 0 °C.
