How is a trip defined for eBikes with a smart system and when does a trip end?

We define a trip as a ride on an eBike. A trip begins when you start a ride and ends either automatically or manually. All intervening rides are considered as belonging to one trip. This is comparable to the familiar trip meter on cars.
