New features:

• Map view for search results: Find points of interest (POI) with your Nyon - switch from list view to map view to see the location of a POI on the map. Start navigating to the POI of your choice by selecting it in the map view. Tap the blue icon to switch between the two views.
• Autozoom: If you approach a bend or intersection and reduce your speed, the map view on your Nyon changes automatically. It now shows you the detailed view of your surroundings. The speed-dependent automatic map zoom is available in 2D map mode. Activate the option under "Map settings".
• Display of waypoints: In the eBike Connect online portal, you can plan your tours including stop-off points - select up to eight from the list of POIs or add further destinations. These stop-off points, also called waypoints, are now displayed on your Nyon during navigation. Nyon signals you with a short tone when you have reached a waypoint. During the ride, you have the flexibility to simply skip planned waypoints - Nyon will take you to the next waypoint. Please note that you can only plan your tours with waypoints in the eBike Connect online portal.
• Track fitness goals: This new feature allows you to set personal goals and track them directly on Nyon. How many calories do you want to burn this week? How much distance do you want to cover this month, and in how much time? How many metres of altitude do you want to conquer this year? - By tapping on the goals screen, you can switch between the different views to track your progress live. You can set your desired values in the settings under Tile settings > Screens & tiles > Goals. Optionally, you can also access the settings via the cogwheel icon in the tile.
• Extension of the savings screen: You can now track how many CO2 emissions you can save with your eBike compared to trips by car. By tapping on the savings screen, you can switch between the two views: Money or CO2 savings.
• Automatic display brightness: You can either set the brightness of your Nyon display manually or leave this task to the integrated ambient light sensor. This automatically adjusts the screen brightness to the respective lighting conditions. In addition, you can determine the intensity of the brightness control in automatic mode - if your eyes are sensitive to bright light, move the slider to the minus range. If you need more brightness, move the slider to the right. Regardless of the setting you make, the display brightness is still controlled automatically - but it takes your personal preference into account.

• Menu structure: A clearer menu structure provides a quick overview. Where it makes sense, we have added direct access to the settings.

09/2020: Release Notes für Nyon (ab MY21)

• Einfache Bedienung: Nyon lässt sich dank Touch-Funktion intuitiv bedienen und während der Fahrt über die separate Bedieneinheit steuern. Das robuste Displays bleibt auch bei Regen oder Staub voll funktionsfähig und kann mit Bike-Handschuhen bedient werden.
• Ausgezeichnetes Design: Das 3,2 Zoll große, hochauflösende Farbdisplay wurde mit dem Red Dot Award ausgezeichnet.
• Optimal ablesbar: Helligkeit und Hintergrundbeleuchtung des Displays passen sich auto­matisch dem Um­gebungslicht an. Eine spezielle Beschichtung reduziert Spiegelungen und Fingerabdrücke. Man kann zwischen einer dunklen und hellen Anzeige mit maximalem Kontrast wählen.
• Displayhalterung: Um eine bestmögliche Ablesbarkeit zu gewährleisten, stehen bei der Displayhalterung zwei Montagepositionen zur Wahl. Die mittige Befestigung über dem Lenker ist speziell auf die Bedürfnisse von eMountainbikern ausgelegt, während Tourenfahrer die Halterung weiter nach vorn ausrichten können.
• Software aktualisieren: Software-Updates oder neues Kartenmaterial können ganz bequem over-the-air heruntergeladen und installiert werden.  
• ABS: Die Kontrollleuchte des Bosch eBike ABS ist in die Displayanzeige integriert. 
• Zurück zum Start: Der aktuelle Standort kann manuell gespeichert werden, sodass jederzeit wieder zu dieser Ausgangsposition zurück navigiert werden kann. 
• Navigieren: Das nächste Ziel eingeben, den Kartenausschnitt heranzoomen, verschieben und das Ziel auf der Karte auswählen – all das kann über den Touchscreen gesteuert werden. Während der Fahrt machen Hinweistöne auf das nächste Abbiegen aufmerksam.
• Reichweitenhinweise: Nyon weist bei der Tourenplanung darauf hin, ob das Ziel mit der eingestellten Motor­unter­stützung erreicht werden kann. Unterwegs informiert Nyon frühzeitig, falls ein anderer Unterstützungsmodus gewählt werden sollte.
• Leistungsvergleich: Nyon vergleicht Geschwindigkeit, Leistung und Trittfrequenz der aktuellen Fahrt mit den Durchschnittswerten und zeigt an, ob die eigene Performance besser oder schlechter ist als der Durchschnittswert. 
• Lock: Durch die Premium-Funktion Lock wird mit Abziehen des Bord­computers die Motor­unter­stützung deaktiviert, was das Pedelec für Diebe unattraktiver macht. Erst durch Aufstecken desselben Bord­computers entriegelt sich die elektronische Sperre wieder.

New features:

• Improved navigation: You have found a nice route and want to start navigating on Kiox immediately – no matter where you are? In the revised Saved Routes menu, you can now select whether you want to be navigated to the start or destination of the route or start the route directly from your current position. If you're still not sure what to choose, we've included a few hints in the appropriate places.  
• All saved routes at a glance: From now on you can view all your saved routes in the eBike Connect app, without any restrictions. It doesn't matter whether the routes were saved in eBike Connect, komoot or Outdooractive: With the update you can see them all in your eBike Connect app. Simply drag the list from the bottom to the top to load more saved routes. 
  You can find your saved routes as usual in the map area under the symbol with the right turn arrow at the bottom right of the screen.

Improvements:

• A small improvement in the route planning menu now gives you more information about the active route profile without losing sight of the map view. You can still get more details by dragging the three dots at the bottom of the screen.
• From now on, only routes that are marked as Bike category in komoot will be imported into the eBike Connect app. 

New features:

• Remember locations: You can now set markers for locations in the map view of the eBike Connect app and include them in your route. You can access this function via the new bookmark icon in the map area of the app at the bottom left. For example, park your car, bookmark the parking position and start your eBike ride - that way, you can navigate back to the car later. You can also use this icon to add your current location to your saved locations directly from the eBike Connect app.
• Extended activity details: You can now find more parameters in the detailed view of your activities (maximum heart rate, maximum cadence, maximum elevation).  

Improvements:

• We have made a number of minor bug fixes and improvements, for example, renaming your eBike is now also possible in the app.

New features:

• Adjusting a route created in the app at a later date is now possible. In the map area you will find many new options to edit the routes you have already created. Add new stopovers, change the order of the planned stops, turn the originally planned route into a round trip and much more. Ultimately, you decide whether you want to save your changes or create a new tour from them.
• When you plan your next trip, it no longer has to be based solely on your current location: you decide where your next experience begins. Use the new function to enter the start address directly or tap on the map and select where the route should start from.
• Sharing directly from the app now works for all eBike Connect or Outdooractive tours: simply select the desired Tour, export as GPX and use the share options of your smartphone.

Sobald du dein Strava-Konto in der eBike Connect App verknüpft hast, kannst du alle deine neu aufgezeichneten Aktivitäten auto­matisch mit deinem Strava-Profil synchronisieren. Neben den einzelnen Segmenten kann auch die Tageszusammenfassung auto­matisch auf Strava hochgeladen werden. Gehe in die Einstellungen der eBike Connect App unter "Einstellungen" > "Verbundene Apps" > "Strava", um dies einzurichten.

• Google Fit: Activate the connection to Google Fit just once to ensure that all your rides are automatically logged in the Google Fit app. Open the settings of the eBike Connect app and activate the connection to the Google Fit app under "Connected apps".
• Help Center: Our Help Center provides quick assistance. You will find answers to important questions, as well as useful tips. You can now also find the contents of the Help Center in your eBike Connect app under "More" > "Help Center".
• Measurement units: Go to "My profile" and choose between metric or imperial units.

• Improved value calculation: A few improvements provide more accurate altitude and ascent/descent values when planning routes in eBike Connect.
• komoot: Similar to the implementation in the online portal, you decide whether, in addition to individual segments, only the daily summary should be synchronised with your komoot profile. You can control this setting in the eBike Connect app under "Settings" > "Connected apps" > "komoot".
• Menu structure: A clearer menu structure in the map screen provides a quick overview.
• Extended support for core features: We have optimised our app to offer more functionalities for devices without Google Services. Map functions and route planning, navigation or activity tracking benefit from this improvement.
• To use eBike Connect, you need at least Android 6.

11/2020: Release Notes for Android App version 4.3.0

New features:

• Update your Kiox: This release introduces the option to manually check whether an update is available for your Kiox on-board computer. Start the eBike Connect app, go to "My eBike", tap on the Kiox you've already connected and select "Check for software update". If there is a new software update available, it will start automatically as soon as your Kiox is connected to the eBike Connect app.
• Shop for premium features: In the eBike Connect app you can search for additional premium features such as Lock or custom riding modes. You can check whether there are premium features available for your on-board computer by selecting "More" and then "Shop" in the app. The Shop menu will appear greyed out if there are no features available for your eBike.

New features:

• Support for Nyon: The successor Nyon is now also integrated in the eBike Connect smartphone app. Nyon can now be selected under "My eBike".
• Navigation with Kiox: The new Kiox navigation function is started on the smartphone. The on-board computer is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth and indicates the planned tour on Kiox in the form of a line.
• Additional languages: The eBike Connect app has been translated into Japanese.

New features:

• Battery consumption: We have made a few adjustments in order to optimise the battery life of your smartphone.
• Kiox: The automatic search for Kiox in the app can now be interrupted directly in the notification and, if necessary, reactivated later under My eBike.
• Stored routes and locations: Saved routes can now also be deleted within the eBike Connect app (with the exception of komoot routes). It is also possible to change or delete a saved location.

10/2019: Release Notes for Android App Version 3.2.0

New features:

• komoot - Starting right now, cyclists will also be able to discover new cycling routes with the komoot route planning and navigation app. Once you have linked both accounts in the eBike Connect App, you can easily synchronise your activities and routes with komoot.

New features:

• Kiox: Our sportive display is now also connected to the eBike Connect smartphone app. From now on Kiox is selectable in App under "My eBike". Once connected via Bluetooth with the smartphone app eBike Connect, Kiox records your trips and sends all relevant data to the app and, if your smartphone is connected to the internet, to the online portal eBike Connect. The app on the other hand records GPS data. This information is then combined with the trip data from Kiox - for an overview and analysis of all activities after driving in the app or in the online portal.
• Map Manager: The entire feature is available again in the present version of this app.
• Zoom function within an activity: The zoom feature in the map section of an activity is available again. A click on the map within the activity opens a full-screen, zoomable map view of the route.
• Facebook login: You can no longer login to the eBike Connect app using Facebook. If you used to login only via Facebook and did not choose an eBike Connect password, please use the “Forgot password” link and create a new password using the e-mail address associated with your Facebook account. That way you can ensure your previously recorded data won’t get lost.

Improvements:

• Battery charge status: Under "My eBike" you can see the current charge status of your system, displayed right next to the bike icon. This feature is offered in conjunction with Nyon.

• Saving routes: Save the routes you have planned with the app. The saved routes are available in "My routes" in the eBike Connect app, in the portal and in Nyon.

• How does it work? After installing the latest update, the eBike Connect Watch app will automatically appear on your Apple Watch. Open it and follow the instructions there to sync your heart rate data from the Apple Watch to eBike Connect.
• Nyon and Kiox users take note: the transmission of Apple Watch heart rate data with eBike Connect only works if there is an active connection between Nyon and the smartphone during the entire ride.

Visit the eBike Connect app settings under "Settings" > "Connected apps" > "Strava" to set this up.

• Menu structure: A clearer menu structure in the map screen provides a quick overview.
• To use eBike Connect, you need at least iOS 12.

If there is a new software update available, it will start automatically as soon as your Kiox is connected to the eBike Connect app.
• Shop for premium features: In the eBike Connect app you can search for additional premium features such as Lock or custom riding modes. You can check whether there are premium features available for your on-board computer by selecting "More" and then "Shop" in the app. The Shop menu will appear greyed out if there are no features available for your eBike.

• Kiox: Our sportive display is now also connected to the eBike Connect smartphone app. From now on Kiox is selectable in App under "My eBike". Once connected via Bluetooth with the smartphone app eBike Connect, Kiox records your trips and sends all relevant data to the app and, if your smartphone is connected to the internet, to the online portal eBike Connect. The app on the other hand records GPS data.
