2.2 We collect, process and use personal data (including IP addresses) only if we have a legal basis to do so, or if you voluntarily provide us with this data for any respective purpose, e.g. within the scope of a registration, a survey, a prize draw, an enquiry to our hotline or to take up a warranty claim.

2.3 In addition, the following information is collected when you visit our website: IP address, website from which the visit is made (referrer), pages visited (pages), downloaded files (downloads), viewing videos/audio, clicking on individual links, search words or search phrases (site search), duration of the visit, browser used, etc. If the visit takes place via online advertising using banners, video ads, search engine advertising, etc., we additionally record which banner or ad word motivated the visit to the Bosch eBike website. With this information we can further optimise our internet pages and tailor them even better to the needs of our visitors.

3. Appropriation

Bosch eBike or a service company commissioned by Bosch eBike uses your personal data for purposes of technical administration of the websites and mobile applications, for customer administration, for product surveys, for your enquiries to Bosch eBike Systems, e.g. to our service or end customer hotline, and for processing warranty cases only to the extent necessary in each case or in accordance with the details of the processing purposes at the corresponding points on our websites. 6. Use of Conversion Tracking

6.1 To make our online offering as attractive as possible for our users, we use Conversion Tracking.

6.2 Our Conversion Tracking partners such as Google AdWords place a cookie on your computer (‘conversion cookie’) for this analysis service if you have accessed our website via an ad of the relevant partner. These cookies expire after 30 days. If you visit a specific page of ours and the cookie has not expired, we and the Conversion Tracking partner can recognise that someone clicked on the ad and was redirected to our site. Cookies cannot be tracked through our website. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics and to determine the total number of users who clicked on the ad and were redirected to a page with a Conversion Tracking tag. However, this is anonymised so that you cannot be identified via the Conversion Tracking.

7. Use of analysis tools

7.1 Bosch eBike uses the web analysis tool Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. "Google". No profile formation takes place. There is a contract between Robert Bosch GmbH and Google Inc. for commissioned data processing according to Sect. 11 Federal Data Protection Law. Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will shorten your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Commissioned data processing
We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities for the use of Google Analytics.

7.3 Cookies are used in the method as described in 7.1. to enable the analysis of website use. In particular, Bosch eBike can use them to improve data quality.

7.4 If you do not want the relevant analysis cookies to be used, proceed as described in 5.4. or 7.1.

8. Use of social plugins

Our website content can be shared on social networks via built-in social media buttons. All social media buttons that allow content sharing are not directly integrated via social plug-ins from social network providers, but rather with simple hyperlinks. This ensures that your information is not automatically transferred to social network servers when you visit our website. 9. Dealer and ABS test centre search with Google Maps

As a user of our website, you can have cooperating dealers in your area displayed on a map. We use Google Maps to display the map. Google Maps is a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To display the cooperating dealers in your area, you must first specify a location. The location can either be entered manually or determined automatically using the geolocation feature of your internet browser. No personal data will be processed during manual entry unless you provide your home address for display. Processing of your IP address is required for automatic location determination using the internet browser’s geolocation feature. In this case, we base this processing on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 letter a of Regulation (EU) 2016/679), which the internet browser will request when bringing up the map. In this way, your IP address is not stored by us.

10. Advertising

10.1 Consent and revocation
If you provide us with personal data, we use it to inform you about our products and services and to ask you about them if necessary, provided that you have expressly given us your consent to use your personal data for advertising purposes. If we make use of a market research institute for surveys, it will act exclusively on behalf of and in accordance with the instructions of Bosch eBike.

If you have given us your consent for commercial use but no longer wish to receive advertising from Bosch eBike in the future, you can revoke your consent at any time. Your data stored for advertising purposes will then be deleted accordingly or blocked if they are still necessary for billing and ordering purposes, or for the processing of warranty cases.

10.2 Newsletter
You can subscribe to newsletters on our websites and applications. If you later decide against receiving newsletters, you can cancel your subscription at any time by withdrawing your consent. To cancel the e-mail newsletter subscription follow the link included in the newsletter.

10.3 Competitions
If you take part in a Bosch eBike competition, we will use your data to notify you if you win a prize and for the purpose of advertising our products, provided you have given your consent. Detailed information about the competitions can be found in the respective conditions of participation.

11. Mobile applications

11.1 Using our mobile applications
In addition to our online services, we have mobile applications available that you can download to your mobile device. In relation to this, you have the same rights as described herein. In addition to the data collected on websites, we collect further personal data on our mobile applications that result specifically from the use of a mobile device. However, this only happens if you have given us your consent in each case.

11.2 Collection of your location data
We also offer location-based services, with which we provide you special offers that are tailored to your particular location. 13.1 Our employees and the service companies commissioned by Bosch eBike are bound to secrecy and compliance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act.

13.2 Bosch eBike takes all necessary technical and organisational measures within the meaning of the Federal Data Protection Act to protect your data managed by us against manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons or unauthorised disclosure. Our security measures are constantly being improved in line with technological developments.

14. Information and correction

Users have the right to request information on the personal data stored about them at any time. Users may also request that their data be corrected at any time.

15. Revocation and deletion

15.1 Furthermore, you can revoke your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data at any time.

15.2 Personal data will be deleted if knowledge of the personal data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored, if consent has been revoked or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
