The German eMTB Masters – epowered by Bosch

In 2016, eMountain bikers will again be able to put themselves to the test in competition conditions: After its successful launch in 2015, the German eMTB Masters - epowered by Bosch, a racing series especially for eMountain bikers, is now entering its second round. Participants will compete against each other in individual and team races in four events between April and October. Each competition will be accompanied by an eExpo, at which visitors will be able to extensively test eBikes and eMountain bikes outdoors.

Together with partners from the ARGE German Bike Masters, a coalition of Germany’s best marathon mountain bike races, Bosch eBike systems has launched a racing series especially for eMountain bikers. In 2016, the German eMTB Masters – epowered by Bosch will again take place as part of four already established bike events.

Dates

The series kicks off on April 17, 2016 in the MTB Park in the town of Münsingen in the Swabian Alb, followed by events in Bad Wildbad (May 22, 2016), Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (August 14, 2016) and Trochtelfingen, near Reutlingen (October 2, 2016). Ambitious eBikers can register for the individual and team events immediately – and can earn points in the overall rankings starting in April. eMountain bikes that offer support up to 25 kph (15.5 mph) are permitted in the competition.

eExpo – Experience electric mobility

Each competition will be accompanied by an eExpo. During these exhibitions, visitors will be provided with extensive information about eBikes from eBike manufacturers and bicycle dealers. Testing grounds will be opened for guided eBike tours that include expert consultations. As a special bonus, during the test rides, participants will be able to ride eMTBs from different manufacturers across a true obstacle course, guaranteeing that authentic mountain bike feeling and a lot of riding fun.

The German eMTB Masters – epowered by Bosch kicks off with the first event of the four-part series on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. at the MTB park in Münsingen.
