Bosch eBike Systems at the Argus Bike Festival 2016

On Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3, the Argus Bike Festival will take place on Vienna’s Rathausplatz, in front of city hall. Bosch eBike Systems will also be represented with its own information stand and consultant team at what is not only Austria’s largest bike event, but also the largest bike festival in Europe. People interested in eBikes as well as manufacturers and dealers will be able get information from the European market leader about the latest developments, new product lines and the Nyon all-in-one on-board computer. The Nyon combines control functions, a navigation unit and fitness trainer in one device and is also available as retrofit kit for owners of eBike models with Bosch Active and Performance Line.

eBikes as a sustainable growth market

“Over the intermediate term, we estimate that every third new bike sold in central Europe will be an eBike,” says Claus Fleischer, head of Bosch eBike Systems. For many people, the electric bicycle is more than just a means of transportation – it is fast becoming a lifestyle product. A look at bike retailers shows: From comfortable step-through models and everyday bikes to sporty eMountain bikes and practical eCargo bikes – the selection is varied and tailored to individual needs. The eBike is also important from a transportation policy perspective: “eBikes are the gateway to efficient, zero-emissions mobility.”
