I have problems connecting my eBike Connect app to my Kiox or Nyon. What can I do?

Instructions on how to connect your eBike to the eBike Connect app can be found here.

If this doesn't work, check the following:

  1. Check  here if your eBike is compatible with the eBike Connect app.

Please note: The eBike Connect app can only be connected to a Kiox or Nyon display. eBikes with the smart system are not compatible with the eBike Connect app! If you have an eBike with the smart system (e.g. if you have a Kiox 300/Kiox 500 display) please download the eBike Flow app. Instructions on how to connect your eBike to the eBike Flow app can be found here.

  1. Make sure you have your computer and smartphone nearby and that both devices are turned on.

  2. Always check if internet and Bluetooth are enabled on your smartphone. For Android smartphones, please enable location services as well.

  3. Always make sure that the app is running in the background and the app is not closed.

  4. Check the charge level of your smartphone. Charge your smartphone if necessary.

  5. For Android: Check that eBike Connect is excluded from the energy-saving function (sometimes also called battery optimization) in the smartphone settings.

For example, to find the energy-saving function/battery optimization:
On your smartphone, go to  Settings >  Power Saving Mode or Battery Optimization. Select All Apps, search for eBike Connect. Select Don't optimize or Do not allow and confirm your selection.

If you can't find the power saving function/battery optimization, please refer to your smartphone's user manual.

Note: If you have problems again, please check the exceptions list once more. After an update, eBike Connect may disappear from the list.

  1. Is it possible that another smartphone is connected to the computer?
You can see this on your Kiox under Settings > Bluetooth or on your Nyon under **  > Connections > Bluetooth **. If another smartphone is connected, you have to pair your smartphone and computer again (see Pair).

  2. Switch the smartphone and the computer off and on again.

  3. Remove the computer from the Bluetooth list of the smartphone and the smartphone from the Bluetooth list of the computer. If you are still paired with another computer that you no longer use, remove it from the smartphone's Bluetooth list as well.
