If you are in the Nyon navigation screen and have enabled GPS, your current location is displayed on a map. Nyon has its own GPS receiver and therefore does not need a smartphone connection to pinpoint a location (however a connected smartphone can speed up the positioning of the GPS signal itself). For this purpose, you must be able to receive signals from the GPS satellites at your location.
