Bosch headlines at spring cycle in Sydney

Sydney, Australia - This year, Bosch sponsored the annual Spring Cycle race event held in Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday 12 October for the first time.

Now in its 36th year, Spring Cycle brings together approximately 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities to participate in Sydney’s largest recreational bike ride. The event provides a unique opportunity for participants to explore Sydney’s stunning landscape and iconic attractions on bike.

Riders can take part in the 10km City Ride, 20km River Ride, 50km Classic Ride or the 105km Challenge Ride. Spring Cycle is the only cycling event that gives riders the unique opportunity to ride on the road across the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

At this year’s event, Bosch Pedal Assistants were on two-wheels with Bosch powered eBikes to support race participants with any technical issues that arose during their race.

Following their ride, participants were treated to barista coffee before heading to the Bosch tent for a virtual test-ride experience. In partnership with Zwift, Bosch have developed technology where riders can jump on a stationary bike and simulate feeling and joy of riding an eBike. In three hours, over 55 participants had trialed the Zwift experience.

Spring Cycle Ambassador, Zoe Marshall, has turned to cycling as a way to get back on the bike and got to experience an eBike for the first time during the event.
