Bosch eBike Systems introduces 32km/h Drive Unit in New Zealand

Bosch eBike Systems has today announced that it will expand its product portfolio by introducing new version of its drive unit. The ‘sport’ drive unit provides pedal-assistance up to 32km/h, catering specifically to the New Zealand market.

The 32km/h pedal-assistance will be available on all Bosch drive units including the Active Line and Active Line Plus, ideal for commuting and weekend recreational activity, as well as the Performance Line and Performance Line CX, providing the extra boost for the more adventurous and experienced mountain bike riders.

Commenting on the update, Mr. David Howard, General Manager of Bosch eBike Systems Asia Pacific said, “This is an exciting addition to our growing range of eBike Systems. New Zealand is a very mature eBike market, the introduction of the 32km/h ‘sport’ drive unit will be a thrilling riding experience for those new or even experienced eBike riders looking for a faster and smoother ride.”

Available from October and rolling into early 2019, leading bike brands including Trek, Scott, Moustache and Avanti, will begin offering new models with the 32km/h enabled drive unit.
