How is the smartphone charged while the bike is in motion?

In the case of the Universal Mount, the smartphone is charged via the additional charging cable (Micro-USB, USB-C or Lightning) between the smartphone and the Hub. The charging port is already integrated in the iPhone cover.

The prerequisite is the activated charging function in the app. You can set this in the idle state in the dashboard. For this, tap the arrow symbol at the bottom left corner of the dashboard screen to activate the charging function.
