For more safety and riding enjoyment
Safety is a key issue for many eBike riders. The world's first production-ready eBike ABS enables controlled and stable braking, even under difficult conditions. Bosch has been an expert in ABS systems and a market leader in motorbike safety systems for over 40 years. The eBike ABS was developed using the already established motorcycle ABS from Bosch as a starting point. eBiking becomes safer through the combination of front wheel ABS and rear wheel lift control. The pressure at the front brake is regulated during harsh braking manoeuvres and stabilises the bike. This provides advantages particularly while trekking and riding in the city and allows you to enjoy leisure rides or the daily commute to work in total relaxation.

Safety comes first: eBike ABS from Bosch in summary

The interplay of the Bosch eBike ABS components ensures greater safety. The eBike ABS consists of:
1. the ABS control unit
2. the ABS light (or integrated into Kiox/Nyon since model year 2021)
3. two ABS wheel speed sensors, one on the front wheel and one on the rear wheel
4a. the Magura CMe ABS brake
4b. with ABS sensor disc and brake disc
The complete set weighs around 800 grams. The anti-lock braking system is automatically enabled above a speed of six kilometres per hour.
The eBike ABS has been compatible with all Bosch eBike components since model year 2021, except for eShift, SmartphoneHub and COBI.Bike products.
