Bosch eBike Systems and komoot, the leading route planning and navigation app, are working closely together to give you even more riding enjoyment. Previously, it was already possible to plan routes in komoot and use them with the Nyon on-board computer and - thanks to the smartphone and COBI.Bike app - with the SmartphoneHub. Thanks to a new navigation function, you can now also use Kiox to follow routes planned with komoot.
Optimal riding experience with new products and features
This means that all connected displays from Bosch eBike Systems now support your route planning via komoot. Additional eBike categories will soon be available to you in komoot. These categories take into account the duration of the ride, the fitness of the rider, the eBike type (mountain bike, road bike, touring bike, gravel bike, MTB enduro) and the topographical conditions. "Bosch eBike Systems and komoot have a common goal: We want to offer eBikers an optimal riding experience. With the new products and features for the model year 2021 and by working closely with komoot, we are opening up new opportunities for our customers to connect with the digital world," says Tamara Winograd, Head of Marketing and Communications at Bosch eBike Systems.
Bosch innovations for active eBikers
For the 2021 model year, Bosch eBike Systems introduced two innovations in its on-board computer portfolio: new functions for Kiox as well as the new on-board computer Nyon. With both displays, integrating komoot is possible via the connection with eBike Connect. Once both accounts have been linked, rides planned with komoot appear in the eBike Connect portal or in the eBike Connect app and can be cycled with Kiox or Nyon. Rides planned or cycled with the Bosch on-board computers are also automatically synchronised with komoot. The activities you have completed will appear in your personal komoot profile, where you can then add photos and share the experience with your friends in the usual way. The new functionalities for Kiox are now available as a software update. The retrofit kit will be available from specialist dealers as well. The new, fully connected Nyon on-board computer will also be available for retrofitting from specialist dealers from autumn.

Function with added value: new eBike option at komoot
The recently released eBike functions from komoot will be available for both eBike Connect and the COBI.Bike app later this year. This new option allows you to plan your route even more accurately: If you select 'eBike' when planning a route with komoot, you will receive adapted information on the duration and the degree of difficulty of the ride. In addition, rides completed with Kiox or Nyon are automatically uploaded to komoot as eBike rides. "More and more komoot users are on the move with eBikes.
