Touring Switzerland on an eBike

Jasmin and Daniel are taking a three-day eBike tour through Switzerland's Bernese Oberland region – and Nyon is serving as their expert tour guide.

Magnificent natural scenery. Imposing summits.

75° Fahrenheit. Lots of sun. Early summer in Switzerland. Ideal conditions for touring on pedelecs. Jasmin and Daniel are aiming to ride from Lucerne to Lake Geneva – while getting the most out of their time together. “Being outdoors all day, enjoying nature, and forgetting about hustle and bustle.” So, they've opted for a highly reliable tour guide – namely Nyon, their eBikes' on-board computer.

Route and daily stages

Take the scenic route

Nyon knows the way

Jasmin and Daniel plan their route and each daily stage online, and then load their plans and maps onto their on-board computers. Nyon then guides them to their destination by the fastest or most scenic route, or by a special route for mountain bikes – precisely according to their wishes.

The Grosse Scheidegg mountain pass

Jasmin and Daniel's first major challenge is scaling the Grosse Scheidegg mountain pass. Conquering the car-free pass's 1280 meters (4200') of altitude takes them about two hours. They then rest at Gasthof Rosenlaui in the village of Grindelwald – and recharge their eBikes' batteries.

Detouring through the beautiful Simmental

The next morning, the eBikers re-plan their next stage. Instead of reaching Gstaad via Fribourg, they ride through Simmental valley. Even when modifying a route, Nyon proves to be flexible and reliable. During their off-road excursion, Jasmin and Daniel explore the spa town's surroundings.

Final stage to Lausanne

After overnighting at Bike-Hotel Rössli, Jasmin and Daniel start out on their third day toward Lausanne. “Three really perfect days. So many special moments, impressions and experiences,” raves Jasmin on arrival. The two eBikers have covered about 300 kilometers (185 miles) on their unforgettable journey!
