Urban Bike Festival in Zürich

From April 1 to 3, 2016, the first Urban Bike Festival in Zürich will focus on modern mobility, stylish bikes and the urban bike culture. Some 15,000 visitors are expected to attend Switzerland’s new bike expo. Bosch eBikes will be there and will present the latest innovations and its current product portfolio in the Schiffbauhalle. On the Turbinenplatz, the Swiss cargobike initiative will present the Carvelo Cup epowered by Bosch. Trained, knowledgeable personnel from Bosch eBike Systems will also be on hand to provide advice and assistance.

A diverse program for a diverse audience

During the three days of the event, the urban bike culture and the opportunities offered by modern mobility will be explored and celebrated. The extensive program offers a bike expo, bike testing, a pumptrack, the Mini Drome, a balance bike race for kids, as well as shows and parties. Increasing, eBikes are also appealing to younger audiences. Every sixth bicycle sold in Switzerland now has an electric drive.

At the festival, Bosch eBike Systems will present its Active Line and Performance Line – including in the speed variant for s-pedelecs that provides support up to speeds of 45 kph (28 mph). With Nyon, the first all-in-one on-board computer for eBikes, Bosch is presenting the standard for digitalization and networking in the eBike world. Nyon combines eBike control, navigation and route planning as well as a fitness trainer in one device. As a retrofit kit, Nyon is now also available to owners of eBike models equipped with Bosch Active Line.

Carvelo Cup epowered by Bosch

There will be a lot of fun to be had and the familiar Bosch smile will be a common sight during the Carvelo Cup epowered by Bosch. In cooperation with the Swiss cargo bike initiative Carvelo, Bosch is presenting cargobike fun for the entire family. In two-person teams consisting of a driver and a passenger, visitors will be able to put themselves to the test on an special course and measure their riding skill and technique.
