Connecting and disconnecting the eBike

Connecting your eBike

The steps for connecting your eBike to the smart system with a phone are as follows:

  1. Download the eBike Flow app to your phone from the  Google Play Store or  Apple App Store.
  2. Open the eBike Flow app and set up your user account. You will find instructions on how to create an account for the eBike Flow app and register  here.
  3. You will be instructed to connect the eBike Flow app to your eBike.
  4. Before connecting, make sure your eBike is switched on and stationary.
  5. Also make sure your phone is connected to the internet and Bluetooth is turned on.
  6. Follow the instructions in the Flow app to connect your eBike.
  7. Press the power button on the top of the LED Remote/Purion 200 or the top button on the System Controller until the LED flashes.
  8. The eBike is then recognised and connected to the eBike Flow app.

If a Bluetooth connection is established, this will be displayed in the status screen in the form of a phone icon with a green tick.

This  video will show you how to connect the eBike Flow app to your eBike.

eBike registration

If you want to make full use of all the functions of the eBike Flow app, such as digital theft protection with eBike Lock or updates over-the-air, you need to register your eBike. If your eBike is registered to you, you link your eBike to your account so that only you can use it. This allows you to assign your eBike exclusively to your account.

How to register your eBike:

  1. Open the eBike Flow app.
  2. Make sure you are logged in with your account.
  3. Before registering, make sure that your eBike is switched on and that your eBike is connected.
  4. Your phone must also be connected to the Internet and Bluetooth must be switched on.
  5. Click on the info banner on the home screen or in the settings of the eBike Flow app.
  6. Follow the instructions and click on register eBike.

Disconnecting the eBike

When you have completed your trip and move away from the eBike, your eBike and your phone will automatically disconnect. You don't need to manually terminate the Bluetooth connection.
If your phone loses the connection to the eBike system (smart system) this is immediately indicated via a message on your Kiox 300 or Kiox 500. You will also find a corresponding icon in the status screen. Particularly during activity tracking, this information is important – only with a stable connection between the eBike and the eBike Flow app can the riding data be recorded seamlessly.
